Behind the Scenes

​ The wonderful thing is, the times I’ve seen
Have taught me the truth, what life really means
 
Hard as they were to live through
I can look back and see life anew
 
It wasn’t all random, chaotic, strife
The way it felt as I stumbled through life
 
There were mysteries whose vision I lacked
Only seen as I dared to look back
 
You have the power and I needed to learn
And in order to do so I had to yearn
 
I had to learn and follow your ways
I had to learn that MEEK is OK
 
You were there helping me all the way
Especially when I cared to pray
 
For more than I had, more than I could do
I had to know, I needed You
 
You’re more than periodically guiding my way
When you’re there, you’re there to stay
 
Alive and working on my heart
To make me a person who will not depart
 
Always watching and ready to see
As I trust you there you will be
 
Lord it is an awesome wonder to be worked on by you
And know you’re there in everything I do
 
The future’s unseen and that’s okay
Because I know you’ll guide my way
 
Lives change when we know you’re there
Waiting and willing to show you care.
